It begins before the camera comes out

The experience starts with a consultation. A real conversation about who you are, what you want to feel in front of the camera, and what kind of images you hope to walk away with. We talk about your life, your style, what you love about yourself, and what makes you nervous. This is not a form to fill in. It is where we start building a picture of you and what this session should be.

The consultation also shapes the practical details: which outfits to bring, what kind of mood and lighting we will use, whether we are going for something editorial and powerful or soft and intimate. Getting this right before the day means that when you arrive, everything flows.

Professional hair and makeup, included

On the day of your session, a professional hair and makeup artist works with you first. This is not a quick tidy-up. It is a full session, customised to suit your face, your colouring, and the look you are going for. Our artist works with you, not at you. She asks questions, looks at reference photos if you have them, and creates something that enhances you without making you look like someone else.

Many clients say this is the part they did not expect to love as much as they did. Being looked after properly, without rushing, with someone entirely focused on making you look and feel your best — it sets the tone for the whole day. Direction from first shot to last

You will never stand there wondering what to do with your hands. I direct every pose: where to put your chin, how to angle your body, when to relax your shoulders, where to look, when to move. At the end of the session, we sit down together and I show you your images on a large screen. Not a tiny preview thumbnail. Properly, so you can see the quality and the detail. Almost every client has a genuine moment of surprise at this point. “Is that really me?” Yes. That is you. That is what I see when I look at you.

Many clients find the reveal unexpectedly emotional. Not because it is sad, but because it is often the first time in years — sometimes decades — that someone took the time to truly look at them and bring forward what they found.
